Estimated Hiring Salary Range: $60,677.00 - $79,838.00   Full Salary Range: $60,677.00 - $108,580.00 Annually

About the Role:

As a Web Architect, you’ll serve as the strategic and technical leader for the City’s SharePoint environment and related Microsoft cloud-based collaboration platforms. From designing resilient and scalable SharePoint farms to supporting application development across on-premises and online platforms, your role is vital to how the City shares, stores, and protects information.


In this role, you will:

  • Design and architect reliable SharePoint web platforms across multiple environments (on-premise and cloud). minister, monitor, and optimize SharePoint farms, site collections, services, and integrations.

  • Manage and lead deployments, content migrations, upgrades, and service enhancements.

  • Provide architectural support for related platforms: Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft Stream.

  • Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and governance aligned with best practices for security and storage provisioning.

  • Collaborate with departments to create scalable and user-centered solutions for internal and public-facing digital services.

  • Interpret and apply public sector regulations regarding cable and cell tower communications as they relate to web infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
    • "OR" an equivalency of an Associate's degree in Computer Programming or related field with 5+ years of related experience according to the job posting 
      • "OR" a High School Diploma and related development certification or training with 7+ years of experience, as alternatives according to the job posting.
  • 4+ years of related experience with SharePoint Online, SharePoint Administration, web platform management, or related areas according to the job posting.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and technical writing experience.

An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience with SharePoint migrations and hybrid (on-premises and cloud) deployments
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and SharePoint Central Administration
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Stream, and OneDrive
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 governance and compliance practices
  • Experience designing and delivering technical training
  • Strong documentation skills, including the development of SOPs and technical runbooks
