Minnetonka Tennis Club is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager/Junior Director/Tennis Director to lead our comprehensive tennis program with a strong emphasis on junior development, USTA league coordination, and adult programming.
This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a blend of on-court coaching expertise and off-court program management.
Job Description for Tennis Director/Club Manager 2025
Manager
· Attract and hire, manage and maintain a year-round staff
· Assist with the “On-Boarding” of new employees
· Meet with the assistant manager on a regular basis
· Process bi-weekly payroll
· Assist with off-court scheduling
· Oversee the scheduling of court time to balance junior lessons, women’s daytime teams, men’s programs, MCES classes, USTA teams, and open court time
· Supervise and manage the maintenance of facility which was built in 1967-make sure all areas of the building are clean and safe. Make recommendations to ownership when changes like court resurfacing, parking lot, décor, are necessary.
· Oversee the pro shop operations including ordering/receiving merchandise, string inventory
· Ensure that communications for the Minnetonka Tennis Club are up to date including the website, social media, and emails
· Mandate compliance procedures with health, safety, and privacy protocols
· Establish an Annual Staff Review procedure
· Develop membership & employee manuals/procedures
Tennis Director (evolving duties)
· Be affiliated with one of the professional tennis associations-USPTA/RSA, PTR, ITF, Minnesota Coaches Association, etc.
· Develop programming for the “Indoor Season” and Summer Sessions-approximately 43 weeks a year
· Coordinate the Women’s Daytime League Program for MTC
· Revamp the Men’s Open and Mixer programs
· Maintain a vibrant and active Junior Program and continue to expand the High Performance tennis program
· Manage Evaluation List and update procedure for new juniors looking to get into MTC’s program
· Coordinate and teach in the Minnetonka Community Education Adult Programs held at MTC
· Plan events and parties
· Be the “face’ of the club for the public, fundraiser/events, vendors, relationships with high school coaches
· Be the “liaison” to the following organizations-
Highland Management Staff (parent company)
United States Tennis Association-Northern Division
Women’s Daytime League Coordinator for the Independent Clubs
Racquet Sports Professional Association
Minnetonka Community Education Adult Activities Director
Chilly Open Staff
Tennis Teaching Professional
· Be active in coaching women’s daytime league teams, club drills, men’s open events, all levels of junior classes
· Teach private lessons as available
Compensation:
· Guaranteed annual salary based on off-court and on-court responsibilities, roughly 40% time off court, 60% time on court
· Bonus compensation is available and will be discussed with ownership at the time of the interview

Requirements
Desired traits/background
· BA/BS from 4-yr college or university
· USPTA/RSPA/PTR at the Elite level or higher
· NTRP level of 4.5 or higher
· Management experience, team building background skills, reliability, trustworthiness, imaginative ideas, good verbal and written communication skills
