CLEVELAND AREA HOSPITAL is an independent, self-managed Critical Access Hospital half an hour west of Tulsa, Oklahoma. As the only hospital in Pawnee County, we are constantly striving to provide the highest level of care by continuously growing and updating our services and equipment. Our facilities include a level IV Trauma Center/ ER, Skilled Nursing/Swing Bed program, Respiratory Therapy, C.T., 3D Mammography, a fully equipped Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, 24/7 Lab, and a Primary Care Clinic. PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Oversees all functions of the inpatient/outpatient billing office to include a staff of credit, collection, insurance, coding, and billing clerks. Coordinates activities and schedules work assignments to meet billing deadlines and manage to revenue cycle metrics.

  • Manage payment posting process daily
  • Review, correct, approve bill, upload, and correct claims in Rev Manager
  • Manage unpaid claims and patient accounts
  • Manage the balancing of the daily deposit
  • Review and approve refunds and write offs
  • Complete and compile statistical reports and manage to revenue cycle metrics
  • Manage and coach billing office team for optimization
  • Review policies and current processes for opportunities for improvement
  • Support Revenue Cycle director in other projects as requested
  • Work with department managers and directors for improvements in revenue integrity activities

Requirements


EDUCATIONAL:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree from accredited college with specialization in business or accounting is preferred.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Must have 2+years' experience in managing a medical office environment and strong experience in the Medical Billing, Collections, and all aspects of A/R cycle.
  • Must be proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience with Cerner & Athena EMRs highly preferred.
  • Must have experience in dealing with insurance companies & patients as well as insurance follow-up and coding.
  • Team player attitude, energetic, with a focus on excellent customer service are key.
  • Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills.
  • Proven leader and communicator, experience with working on successful teams
  • Must be able to work in the United States
