Position: Inventory Supervisor
Job Overview:
Functioning with minimal Supervision, this position will ensure execution of daily tasks related to inventory control and production preparation. Supported by the Inventory Manager the role will be responsible for all daily Inventory Control functions are completed, including cycle counts, inventory investigations, adjustments and ensuring product is ready for production. Provide support for all areas of Central Kitchen and areas within production, process improvement and IC. Support company initiatives and programs. Builds positive relationships with team members and maintain the professional manners.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure CK Inventory integrity is maintained through conducting active and seasonal cycle counts in the warehouse
- Provide organizational cross functional support on all inventory related issues/processes/projects
- Troubleshoot issues working alongside Production/ Engineering and TMs
- Ensure each shift is covered & scheduled based on the business need
- Train workers in job duties to ensure the team member are following & maintain the SOP
- Ensure all the supplies are ordered & maintained the par stock level
- Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery and arrange for maintenance and repair work
- May perform the same duties as workers supervised
- Assist Manager with maintenance of all Central Kitchen management systems in the facility.
- Interact with users to identify business requirements
- Troubleshoot issues brought forward by TMs.
- Warehouse Initiatives
- Support Inventory Manager on all Warehouse initiatives that support the Inventory Control & Quality Assurance Strategy.
- Consistently demonstrates Genuine Merchant Customer Service by providing on-time response to Store, Supply Chain and other queries and be knowledgeable about CK Operations and Processes
- Perform additional tasks, as designated by management
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Post-secondary education and a minimum of 1 year of WMS experience.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Previous experience in a Grocery Distribution setting is an asset.
- Previous experience with Warehouse equipment including but not limited to: ride on walkie, manual pallet jack, reach machine and Sky Jack.
Working Conditions:
- Work is being performed in a standard warehouse environment with frequent exposure to adverse conditions (walk in coolers & freezers).
- The work involves occasional periods of intense sensory effort as well as occasional periods of considerable physical effort.
- Travel to various Warehouse locations when required.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including – evenings, weekends and holidays as business needs require.
- Will be required to operation various warehouse equipment including but not limited to: ride on walkie, manual pallet jack, reach machine and Sky Jack.
