HR Manager – Latin America (Jaguariúna, São Paulo)

BASIC FUNCTION
DeLaval is seeking a talented individual to be HR Manager responsible for leading the HR function in Latin America. This is a hands-on, strategic, and operational role ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources for the Americas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and drive both strategic and operational HR activities across the Latin America region, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, organizational development, benefits, payroll management, and compliance with local labor laws and cultural practices to support regional business objectives.
- Support organizational design initiatives and lead change management efforts to align HR strategies with evolving business needs.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on all personnel matters to assist with team motivation, development, and performance management.
- Promote and support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the region to foster an inclusive workplace culture.
- Provides expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of employment including hiring, termination, performance management, rewards, etc.
- Ensure payroll, benefits, compliance, and HR operations are executed accurately and consistently across all supported countries.
- Manage a small team (2 direct reports) and oversee union-related matters in Brazil.
REQUIRED SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
- Experience managing multi-country HR operations, including payroll, benefits, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian labor law and unionized environments.
- Proven ability to lead through change and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors) and digital HR tools.
- Strategic thinker with strong execution and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND
- Hands on leadership style, able to balance both operational activities with strategic needs.
- 8–10 years of HR experience, with 2–3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience managing multi-country HR operations, including payroll, benefits, and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
