As a Service Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for ensuring safety, team performance, service quality, and job efficiency—all while upholding Finning’s customer service commitment.

Job Description:

  • Champion a healthy and safe work environment by ensuring all safety standards, policies, and compliance requirements are communicated, implemented, and followed.
  • Lead day-to-day operations including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, and employee development.
  • Spend the majority of your time in the field with technicians to ensure work aligns with the agreed scope, and that tooling, parts, and technical issues are addressed promptly.
  • Allocate technicians to jobs, manage productivity, and conduct pre-, mid-, and post-job reviews to ensure service excellence.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of service reports and job binders, and that all standard operating procedures are followed.
  • Clearly communicate job scope and direction to frontline employees and escalate issues as needed.
  • Utilize tools such as SIS, SIMSi, SIMS, DSN, and DPSS to support job execution and decision-making.
  • Conduct ongoing performance conversations and ensure formal reviews are completed by employee anniversary dates.
  • Ensure adherence to collective agreements, performance management protocols, and Finning’s high-performance leadership principles.
  • Deliver on Finning’s promise of quality, safety, and timely service to customers.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with Caterpillar equipment and engines.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, with a strong ability to coach and develop frontline employees.
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to clearly direct job scope and resolve issues in the field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Caterpillar systems including SIS and related programs.
  • Solid business acumen, with a strong understanding of Caterpillar product lines, warranty processes, and product health structures.
  • Knowledge of collective agreements, performance management, and disciplinary processes.

  • This position is based out of our Kearl Lake location.
  • Permanent, full-time role.
  • Continuous shift (14 on, 14 off, 12-hour days).
