Indian equities sits within the Emerging markets franchise of Pictet, a 20+ member team, split in London, HK and Shanghai. The fund is run with a high conviction style, aiming to produce superior returns over the long term. It invests across the market capitalisation and sectoral buckets and looks for quality stocks to invest into. The fund has a strong track record of performance.
Your role
- Dedicated analyst for Indian equities, reporting to the Lead PM of the Indian equities fund. Expect reasonably high interaction with rest of the EM team
- Research Indian companies using various sources of information. Perform bottom-up fundamental analysis and develop operating models for companies in focus.
- Present and defend thoughtful, concise, and analytically robust investment recommendations to the team.
- Ongoing monitoring and re-evaluation of stocks under coverage.
Your profile
- Passionate about investing as a profession.
- Undergraduate degree with CFA or MBA or an equivalent qualification.
- Relevant work experience of 3-5 years researching Indian businesses, understanding financial statements and building valuation models.
- Understanding of the Indian context and working knowledge of Hindi and/or other main Indian languages.
- Strong analytical mindset with an ability to think creatively about investments.
- Clear and concise communication skills with the confidence to take conviction in one’s own ideas. Written communication is equally, if not more important, than oral.
