Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic, data-driven, and solutions-oriented Senior Manager of Clinical Education & Development to standardize and elevate provider performance across our clinical organization. This leader will focus on building sustainable coaching frameworks, reducing quality flags, and creating streamlined, collaborative processes to support provider excellence.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with Medical Directors, provider managers, Clinical Educators, and cross-functional teams - including Hims & Hers Product, Clinical Quality, and Care Operations teams - to improve quality outcomes and inform decision-making with meaningful data. You will be responsible for establishing standards for quality issue escalation, supporting provider performance improvement efforts, and facilitating case reviews for low-performing providers.

We expect that around 75% of your time will be focused on case reviews and providing quality feedback/coaching, and 25% of your time will be focused on process and training improvement

Responsibilities: 

  • Design and implement a consistent, scalable coaching model to support provider development across all service lines and at key launch points.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a small team of Clinical Educators - support their professional development and align team efforts with broader quality and education strategies.

  • Provide coaching in escalated cases requiring advanced clinical expertise, and serve as a clinical resource to providers navigating complex situations.

  • Equip the Clinical Educator team to serve as the first line of review for provider questions and clinical concerns, and establish clear escalation protocols to Medical Directors when additional guidance is needed.

  • Leverage clinical audit data and performance trends, in partnership with Quality & Analytics, to identify recurring quality issues and utilize insights to inform coaching strategies, clinical guidelines, and product improvements.

  • Partner with the Hims & Hers Clinical Quality team to develop and maintain centralized logs and dashboards that track provider performance and flag trends over time.

  • Define standardized criteria for identifying and tracking low-performing providers and lead monthly Medical Director meetings to review cases for potential termination.

  • Serve as the primary liaison to the Hims & Hers Clinical Quality team, fostering alignment and building strong feedback loops between teams.

  • Collaborate with Medical Directors, Care Coach managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of quality initiatives.

  • Partner with onboarding teams to share early performance trends and recommend improvements to onboarding content and approach.

  • Continuously identify inefficiencies in quality workflows and champion scalable systems that promote excellence, consistency, and a strong provider experience. 

Qualifications:

  • NP licensure and board certification required and in good standing

  • 5+ years of direct patient care, diagnosing, prescribing and establishing treatment plans 5+ years of experience in clinical quality improvement, clinical education, provider coaching or mentoring, or clinical operations.

  • 5+ years of experience managing clinical or quality-focused teams.

  • Deep understanding of clinical quality standards, audit processes, and performance coaching.

  • Demonstrated success using data to drive decisions, present cases, and influence change.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders (e.g., Product, L&D, Ops).

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven, and evolving healthcare environment.

  • Current or previous certification as an advanced education specialist is a bonus
