Position Summary

The Mortgage Branch Support Specialist serves as a knowledgeable resource and operational liaison for Texana

Bank’s mortgage production teams. This role is critical in promoting bank culture, supporting day-to-day operations,

and ensuring consistent understanding and application of internal policies across sales, processing, and

administrative functions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Become a subject-matter expert on Texana Bank's systems, product offerings, and internal resources.
  • Actively promote and uphold Texana Bank’s culture, values, policies, and procedures in all interactions.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from mortgage team members related to operational workflows, compliance protocols, and procedural questions.
  • Collaborate in developing, updating, and documenting department-level policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide administrative and procedural support to corporate processing staff, especially during high-volume periods.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and cross-functional training efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to support team success.
Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in mortgage operations, loan processing, banking support, or related administrative role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of residential mortgage processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with banking systems, productivity software, and collaboration tools.
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • High degree of professionalism and alignment with Texana Bank’s culture and customer-first approach
