Summary
The Hope for the Holidays Specialist, a seasonal part-time position with required is a hybrid role with required in office hours, plays a vital role in the Children’s Home Society’s Hope for the Holidays campaign by providing direct support to the philanthropy team to plan, organize, and execute a successful holiday wish list drive and fundraising campaign for children experiencing foster care. This role focuses on coordinating with donors, volunteers, and case workers to ensure that every child’s wish list is fulfilled.
Primary Job Functions
Duties
- Collaborate with the development team to secure in-kind and financial contributions from various sources including but not limited to, companies, community organizations, individuals, etc.
- Collaborate with CHS staff—including development, and programs—to ensure timely entry, approval, and sponsorship of client wish lists.
- Assist in volunteer coordination for toy collection, inventory management, sorting, and distribution activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donations, ensuring proper tracking and reporting within the designated database.
- Ensure all activities comply with organizational policies and procedures.

Schedule Expectations
This position is an hourly part-time seasonal position that will require some evening work.
The position will be from October 1 - December 12, 2025. This is a hybrid position with required office hours. The Specialists’ schedule will be as follows:
Week 1-8: The specialist will work 5 days a week for about 1-2 hours per day, depending on the workload
Weeks 9-10: The Specialist will be required to be in the office 5 days a week for 7 hours per day
Over the 10-week period, the total hours worked will be between 120 – 160 hours. The ability to work flexible hours is required to meet business needs. If working remotely, you will be required to be available by telephone and email during specified hours as required.
