Interns will gain hands-on experience working within a global corporate foundation, helping to drive programs that advance food security, sustainability, and equity. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Communications, ESG, and Philanthropy, as well as with nonprofit partners and community organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of CSR and social impact programs.
- Conduct research on food insecurity trends, community needs, and nonprofit best practices.
- Support partnership-building efforts with local, national, and global nonprofits.
- Help assess the social impact of current initiatives using both qualitative and quantitative tools.
- Contribute to storytelling and communication strategies to showcase the Foundation’s impact.
- Collaborate with internal business units to align CSR initiatives with company values and goals.
- Participate in Foundation events, campaigns, and community engagement activities.
- Present findings and recommendations to Foundation leadership and stakeholders.
Learning Objectives
Interns will develop core macro social work competencies, including:
- Systems-level thinking and program evaluation.
- Strategic planning within a corporate philanthropic framework.
- Community-based participatory approaches to social change.
- Organizational leadership and policy development.
- Data-informed decision-making in the CSR context.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Master of Social Work (MSW) program with a macro/community/social policy concentration.
- Demonstrated interest in CSR, food security, sustainability, or nonprofit work.
- Strong research, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Prior internship or work experience in nonprofits, CSR, or community engagement is a plus.
