As KerberRose Human Resources continues to grow, we’re excited to expand our team with the addition of a Career Transition Consultant. You’ll empower individuals through personalized coaching, career development planning, and practical job search strategies—all while being part of a collaborative and values-driven team.
This role blends one-on-one coaching with broader career development support, assessment interpretation, and business engagement. You’ll have the opportunity to represent our service line in the community through presentations, local chamber involvement, and business development efforts—building strong relationships while promoting our mission.
You’ll also collaborate with a team of experienced HR professionals in a supportive, high-integrity environment, with opportunities to cross-train in other HR consulting services as needed to strengthen your skill set and support division-wide success.
This position can be based at any of our 13 office locations: Antigo, Appleton, Clintonville, Eagle River, Green Bay, Marquette, MI, Oshkosh, Rhinelander, Shawano, Sister Bay, Stevens Point, Wausau, or Wisconsin Rapids.
Responsibilities:
• Develop individualized process roadmaps for participants, providing structure and actionable steps for navigating career transitions.
• Assist participants in assessing career strengths, motivators, and differentiators using formal career development tools and assessments.
• Review and enhance job search materials including resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and cover letters.
• Provide interview coaching, including conducting virtual mock interviews.
• Support participants with networking strategies and salary/offer negotiations.
• Deliver on-site offboarding support for business clients as needed.
• Conduct presentations to promote services at chambers, community events, employer events, and other professional gatherings.
• Maintain regular outreach and support to ensure participant engagement and success.
• Keep accurate, up-to-date documentation in client tracking systems.
• Collaborate with team to cross-train and assist in related HR service areas as needed.
• Serve as a service line ambassador by participating in business development opportunities, building awareness and fostering external relationships.
Qualifications:
• 2-4 years’ experience typically with career counseling/consulting, HR, outplacement, talent management, recruitment or related areas or executive leadership with strong emphasis on mentoring, leading and coaching teams.
• High empathy drive with ability to listen, coach, and mentor candidates in stressful and challenging situations.
• Certification to administer MBTI and/or other career assessments such as Strong Interest Inventory, LEA, IDI preferred.
• Knowledge of career development theories and techniques in working with diverse participant population.
• Prior corporate experience preferred.
• Experience and desire to coach individuals at all levels of an organization from individual contributors to senior executives.
• Demonstrated success setting and meeting goals and objectives, and coaching others to stay on track.
• Excellent computer skills and comfort with technology, and virtual tools; proficient with LinkedIn and other mainstream social networking practices.
• Understanding of local job markets especially, latest trends in job search/hiring.
• Experience and skills in live/web training/meeting facilitation.
