The duties of this position are primarily focused on providing periodic audits of all service delivery settings, supporting the development and delivery of staff training curricula and service delivery systems, and providing oversight to the unit’s Quality Improvement Committee. This position provides the above support to several units across Region Relies on independent judgment and direction.Responsibilities:
- Conducts periodic audits of all service delivery settings; conducts 100% annual record audit and review of services for each person supported to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies. In addition to reviewing the record, an audit may include an interview with the person supported, direct support staff, professional staff, and management staff.
- Observation of the implementation of Individual Services Plans (ISP) will also occur, along with assessing the condition of the home and company vehicle for cleanliness, repair, and safety. Completes an audit report of findings in a specified format to facilitate quality improvement.
- Conducts follow-up audits to ensure needed corrective action has been taken for any identified issue.
- Participates in the unit’s monthly Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee meeting, providing guidance in data analysis for determining trends and assisting in the development of a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) to ensure that corrective action is specified and tracked to resolution of the issue/trend. Provide ongoing training to the Clinical and Management teams in quality improvement, assisting with satisfaction surveys to determine strengths in service provision as well as areas that are opportunities for improvement.
- Participates in state and regional meetings as needed to stay abreast of changing regulations. Attends company meetings as scheduled. Assists in the development of materials and information for dissemination at meetings. Coordinates Statewide meetings at the direction of the Director of Quality Assurance and/or CCO.
- Assists with projects, additional audits, updating forms, staff training, policy development and any other task that may be requested by the Director of QA. Assists in investigations of abuse, neglect and exploitation as assigned. Completes special projects as directed by the Chief Compliance Officer.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service Field
- Five or more years’ experience with the population served;
- Experience completing record audits, data analyst and writing reports preferred.
- Ability to multi-task
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- A Valid Tennessee driver’s license required
- Good driving record
- Ability to travel
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Maintain proficiency in company sponsored/required training.
- The following certifications may be required: CPR, First Aid, CPI/ProAct , and/or others as specified/required by state and federal standards/regulations and/or company policy
Physical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included:
Regularly required to lift 10 lbs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs. Must be able to pull a minimum of 10 lbs. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stop. Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Required to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
