Purpose: LSB is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Customer Operations Specialist to optimize processes while maintain excellent relationships with customers and vendors. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is efficient, patient, possesses excellent customer service skills, and has a desire to improve upon current processes.
Position Location: Corporate HQ - Oklahoma City, OK - Hybrid Schedule (2 days WFH, 3 days in-office)
Responsibilities / Key Tasks
- Develop and Execute shipment schedule for the week ahead
- Ensure that inventory, railcars, loading capacity, shipment capacity, customer orders, and rail permits (where applicable) is available at the time of planning
- Coordinate the above with all relevant stakeholders including Manufacturing Managers, Loading Manager, Logistics, Customer Operations, Product Managers
- Where necessary, seek product allocation from Product Manager if insufficient product is available to meet customer orders
- Notify sales team of any schedule impacts to customers and coordinate scheduling changes with sales team and loading manager
- Proactively collaborate with customers and internal teams (commercial, production, and logistics) to ensure internal sales forecasts are achieved while managing customer demand and balancing inventory
- Own the sales order process from receiving customer orders and entering into the order entry system to order invoicing, including credits/debits, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and any other tasks as needed
- Take ownership of customer issues and see problems through to resolution; act as the main point of contact with customers and ensure that customer needs are met
- Review open sales orders and production plans to determine daily, weekly, and monthly forecasts and update plans as necessary
- Coordinate product shipments to warehouses to ensure steady supply
- Work in tandem with the logistics team to manage product rail fleets and ensure that shipments are made in a timely manner and that railcars are returned to LSB facilities timely; this includes ensuring that customer is not in possession of excess railcars from LSB before shipping additional railcars
- Work with logistics and plant loading teams to coordinate truck loading/unloading schedules for intercompany campaigns
- Assist in the month-end close process
- Complete status reports and present on status calls
- Be able to take after-hours calls (including weekends) for emergency shipments
Qualifications
- BA in Business, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Logistics highly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to work closely across various levels of stakeholders and drive performance to achieve objectives.
- Analytical skills; experience monitoring metrics and identifying/implementing corrective actions.
- Strong MS Excel and overall computer skills
- Detail-oriented with great organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized, with a focus on process and time management discipline.
- Strong commercial acumen and financial understanding.
- Performance driven with a strong hunger for success and an ability to deliver results and solutions.
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal skills and relationship building skills.
- Proven ability to engage people and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills.
