As the Associate Director of Accessory Engineering, you’ll lead a global team driving the design, development, and quality of Best Buy’s exclusive brand accessories. From mobile and gaming to home theater and computing, you’ll shape the future of consumer tech accessories. You’ll collaborate across continents, guide product innovation, and ensure our products meet the highest standards—while mentoring a talented team and influencing the broader engineering strategy.

What you’ll do
- Lead global engineering and supplier quality teams across multiple product categories.
- Oversee product design, technical specs, and supplier collaboration for new accessories.
- Drive quality assurance strategies and supplier audits to meet Best Buy standards.
- Solve production issues and ensure continuous improvement using customer feedback.
- Standardize and improve engineering and quality processes across global teams.
- Mentor and grow a high-performing team with a focus on inclusion and development.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Software Engineering or related field.
- 10 years in consumer electronics product development.
- 7 years designing and launching high-volume products.
- 5 years leading teams, including people managers.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, including international trips.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related technical discipline.
- Familiarity with SoC architecture, RTOS, Linux, Android, and video processing.
- Experience working with offshore manufacturing and distributed teams.
