FIRE SAFETY ASSESSMENT SPECIALIST

Salary Range: $99044 - $128752 Per Year
Job Summary: You will serve as a FIRE SAFETY ASSESSMENT SPECIALIST in the Commander Naval Surface Group Southwest (CNSGSW) command of COMMANDER, NAVAL SURFACE GROUP SW.
Major Duties:
- You will conduct shipboard assessments, policy reviews, and training for shipboard Fire Marshals and Import Emergency Teams for all CNSGSW ships.
- You will be responsible for supporting the Commander Naval Group Southwest's (CNSGSW) Emergency Management program.
- You will train staff on Area Commander duties, maintaining the CNSGSW Casualty Response Plan (CRP) and coordinating with Supporting Commanders to improve Fire Response readiness.
- You will serve as lead inspector and a subject matter expert; incumbent provides recommendations to the CNSP Force Damage Control Officer on policy and technical issues for all aspects of Shipboard Firefighting.
- You will assist in the planning, executing, monitoring, of short- and long-term strategy and process improvement efforts to improve the fire response capabilities.
- You will be responsible for planning all aspects of a Damage Control Fire Safety inspection aboard nonnuclear surface combatant platforms including monitoring development of the Schedule of Events.
Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing the implementation of a ships' fire safety program(s), to ensuring compliance with regulations and requirements; AND advising personnel on fire safety policies and procedure to ensure fire response readiness.
