ELECTRONICS MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I

Salary Range: $49.62 - $57.89 Per Hour

Job Summary: You will serve as an ELECTRONICS MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Major Duties:

  • You will review assigned job orders, workload data, plans, specifications, sketches and instructions.
  • You will plan weekly and monthly work schedules and worker assignments.
  • You will plan sequence of work operations for subordinates and any special work methods to be used.
  • You will coordinate availability of any special tools, materials, equipment, and assist help required.
  • You will instruct workers on proper work methods and difficult work operations.
  • You will resolve working problems and take action to overcome bottlenecks, equipment breakdowns, material shortages and other delays.
  • You will inspect work for quality and conformance with instructions and specifications.
  • You will provide guidance on performance of calibration measurements.
  • You will maintain records of subordinate’s time and manhour charges to assign job orders.
  • You will be responsible for personnel management tasks normally delegated to first-line supervisors to include on-the-job training, rating employee performance, and approving leave.
