Global Operations
Wells Fargo’s Global Operations team consists of ~50K people providing middle and back-office support for all five of Wells Fargo’s Lines of Business (Consumer and Small Business Banking, Consumer Lending, Wealth and Investment Management, Commercial Banking and the Corporate and Investment Bank) and Enterprise Functions.
Global Operations (GO) is responsible for refining processes and redesigning business operations by efficiently utilizing resources to exceed customer requirements and service. Our mission is to integrate, transform, and strengthen the enterprise through automation, risk mitigation, effective controls, and state of the art technological solutions to operate at an optimal level.
Working closely with the businesses they support, Global Operations drives efficiency and risk mitigation through process simplification, functional consolidation, automation, and effective controls. The main groups that make up Global Operations are Consumer Lending Operations, Consumer, Small & Business Banking Operations, Wholesale Operations, Shared Services Operations, and Fraud and Claims Management.
Global Operations’ goal is to build a more unified, more integrated approach to Wells Fargo's business operations functions focused on enhancing our operational excellence, meeting our regulatory remediation efforts, and better serving customers.
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a dynamic and strategic Readiness and Learning leader to elevate and standardize business-specific training and general employee readiness focused on preparing new hires and/or existing employees for successful performance in their roles across Global Operations. This leader will enhance the quality and consistency of functional training, equip employees and managers with practical tools, and ensure operational efficiency through a unified readiness approach. They will also partner with the Learning & Development team (L&D) as well as leverage existing enterprise resources to upskill employees and managers in Global Operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong strategic, operational, and leadership skills, with experience developing effective training and readiness programs and driving consistency across global teams. They should excel in optimizing learning content, enabling managers, leading change, and using data to guide decisions, while collaborating across functions and engaging stakeholders effectively.
Responsibilities:
Build and lead a cross-functional Readiness & Learning team, including both direct and matrixed contributors.
Establish and apply clear standards for creating, updating, and delivering process and procedure content that supports employee readiness, skill development, and performance coaching. Collaborate with the L&D team to align with industry best practices and ensure consistency.
Identify opportunities and recommend/implement solutions for onboarding and functional learning process optimization/improvement to drive consistency, efficiency and mitigate risk.
Evaluate and enhance existing materials to ensure they are engaging, inclusive, and grounded in adult learning principles.
Reinforce enterprise Professional Development tools and programs to equip managers to effectively train, coach, and develop their teams.
Create practical toolkits and resources to support consistent, high-quality on-the-job training.
Partner with L&D, lines of business, and functional Learning SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to identify learning needs and translate them into actional solutions.
Collaborate with SMEs to co-create accurate, relevant, and business-aligned content.
Establish success metrics and evaluate program effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance data.
Continuously refine learning experiences based on learner input and business outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management or leadership experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
Experience defining and implementing clear standards for creating, maintaining, and delivering process and procedure content that supports onboarding, skill development, and performance coaching
Ability to proactively monitor learning and development trends to introduce innovative, forward-thinking strategies that enhance organizational growth.
Lead comprehensive organizational assessments to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Proven expertise in developing and applying adult learning methodologies to create impactful, learner-centered programs.
Continuously monitors and applies innovative trends in learning and development strategies
Design and deliver behavior-based learning opportunities, communications, and stakeholder engagement plans, including the identification and definition of methods and channels to drive the desired organizational change
Experience leading and developing a team of professionals.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks and audit requirements.
Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Exceptional leadership skills required to lead complex functions across multiple sites and employee population.
Experience presenting/preparing executive summaries, whitepapers, and presentations for executive management, senior leaders, and regulators
Critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
Process owner experience with strong process analysis abilities
Strong partnership and collaboration skills with proven ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization
Proven success recruiting, inspiring, developing, coaching, and motivating team members through balanced leadership with a focus on team member engagement and retention and performance management
Bachelor’s degree.
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel 20% of the time
