About the opportunity
Werribee Mercy Hospital is seeking a motivated and experienced Midwife Educator to join the Learning Team.  The Learning Team is committed to providing quality education by promoting excellence in professional practice through empowering Nurses and Midwives in the public health sector.  The Clinical Midwifery Educator will collaborate closely with the Assistant Director of Nursing and Midwifery Education and the clinical support team to develop and implement innovative clinical education and training programs. This role is pivotal in empowering midwives to practice to the fullest extent of their scope. Based at Werribee Mercy, you will join a vibrant and forward-thinking Midwifery Education Team that is transforming how education is designed and delivered. This is a truly exciting opportunity to contribute to the integration of midwifery-led models of care, shaping the future of maternity services within our hospital.

  • Registered Senior Midwife or Nurse/Midwife working across the full scope of midwifery practice with AHPRA registration

  • Relevant post registration qualifications and experience

  • Knowledge of contemporary midwifery issues

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

  • You demonstrate innovative approaches to problem solving

  • Recent Clinical Midwifery Educator experience across the full scope of midwifery practice

  • Ability to work a rotating roster AM and PM shifts

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
