SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER

Salary Range: $110020 - $143027 Per Year
Job Summary: You will serve as a Supervisory General Engineer in the Combat Systems Division, Engineering & Planning Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Major Duties:
- You will be responsible for the supervision of the engineering work and the operational performance of all Electronic and Weapon Systems on submarines and surface vessels.
- You will make decisions requiring resourcefulness, initiative, and sound judgment based on experience and good engineering and management practices in adapting and applying these guidelines.
- You will be responsible for the training and guidance of personnel in the design operation, modification and troubleshooting of the electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic components of the various Electronic and Weapon Systems.
- You will be responsible for maintaining training status and requirement records for all personnel under your supervision.
- You will provide consultant or advisory services on problems, conditions, programs, and functions to a broad customer base.
- You will make all work assignments and review completed work and/or engineering reports.
- You will conduct continuous evaluations of engineering aspects of Electronic and Weapon Systems on ships.
- You will be responsible for the continuous engineering evaluation of all cognizant equipment and the application of all changes to the equipment, such as, ship alts, ordnance alterations, and field changes.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band (GS-12) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer conducting evaluations, investigations or research to develop recommendations in design of test specifications or standards (e.g. ship alterations, ordnance alterations, or field changes) for Combat Systems on US NAVY nuclear powered submarines. .
