Salary Range: $142488 - $195200 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as an Tactical Datalinks Coordinator in the Mission Systems T&E Department of NAVTESTWINGLANT NWCF.

Major Duties:

  • You will oversee network setup and operation to maintain secure and reliable communication between units.
  • You will they ensure proper data collection and exchange while aligning with interoperability objectives.
  • You will manage and allocate network resources efficiently and maintaining knowledge of applicable Joint Problem Reports, deficiencies, and known system issues related to individual units.
  • You will collaborate with unit mission planners to ensure systems are configured in alignment with interoperability goals.
  • You will provide technical expertise to ensure the data link architecture supports mission objectives and coordinate with other communication and mission systems experts to optimize network effectiveness.
  • You will troubleshoot connectivity and interoperability issues to identify and resolve problems related to hardware, software, cryptographic security keys, or procedural errors.
  • You will lead collaborative platform lab, ground, and flight interoperability testing of data link networks to verify functionality, performance, compatibility, and reliability.
  • You will coordinate and develop Operational Tasking Orders (OPTASK) for data link systems, maintains records of system configurations and network parameters, and generates daily roll-up reports summarizing data link architecture performance.
  • You will train personnel on the requirements, operation, and maintenance of data link networks.
  • You will ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations governing TDL networks which includes maintaining alignment with governing directives to support mission-critical communication networks effectively.
  • You will coordinate with joint forces, coalition partners, and contractors to ensure seamless communication and data link network interoperability.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Comprehensive understanding of interoperability standards and system integration for joint and coalition operations. Ability to align TDL capabilities with multi-platform operational requirements. 2.) Advanced knowledge of network design, setup, and troubleshooting, including frequency allocation and resource optimization. Familiarity with OSI model applications and network hardware/software like CISCO and Juniper. 3.) Expertise in T&E methodologies, including lab, ground, and flight testing to verify performance and functionality. Experience in using LVC environments and developing Operational Tasking Orders (OPTASK). 4.) In-depth understanding of mission planning processes and the integration of TDL architecture into operational objectives. Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to resolve system issues and ensure alignment with interoperability goals. 5.) Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations governing TDL systems, including cybersecurity requirements. Familiarity with DoD directives and standards for data links and communication networks. 6.) Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve connectivity, hardware, or software issues. Rapid response capability to implement solutions during operational events and exercises. 7.) Proficiency in maintaining system configuration records and generating technical reports. Experience in documenting lessons learned and summarizing operational performance for continuous improvement. 8.) Ability to develop and deliver training materials for TDL systems, ensuring personnel proficiency to individual units.
