SUMMARY
The US Army Global Cyber Center (GCC) under Operational and Administrative Control (OPCON/ADCON) to Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) is responsible to secure, operate, and maintain the Army’s Non-classified Internet Protocol Network (NIPRNet) and Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) of the DODIN for both CONUS and OCONUS theaters.
An Authorized Service Interruption (ASI) Manager on a government IT contract plays a key role in coordinating, approving, and managing scheduled service interruptions (planned outages or maintenance windows) to ensure minimal disruption to mission-critical systems and compliance with contract and regulatory requirements. This role is typically aligned with IT operations, service delivery, and change management functions.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing scheduled service interruptions to minimize impact on mission-critical systems. Manages the ASI process end-to-end, including outage scheduling, risk assessment, stakeholder notification, and post-event reviews. Ensures compliance with federal IT policies and change management procedures. Collaborates with technical teams, government stakeholders, and Change Advisory Boards (CABs) to approve and communicate ASIs. Maintains documentation and reporting through ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy. Supports operational readiness by analyzing outage trends and driving continuous improvement.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions
· Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Strength Demands
