Job Summary: This position is located at Departmental Offices, Management CFO - Treasury Operations. As a Support Service Supervisor (Logistical Support Branch Head), you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of administrative and quasi-technical duties in support of Division and Branch logistical operations. You will provide both technical and managerial supervision to a staff of administrative, technical, and support personnel.
Major Duties:
- As a Support Service Supervisor (Logistical Support Branch Head), you will: Oversee the supply functions and establishment of supply facilities. Ensure accountability for government-owned equipment and materials in accordance with Federal Property Management Regulations and DO's property management policies. Serve as principal advisor to management and executive level officials on personal property and supply matters related to the DO for providing furniture, furnishings, equipment, rehabilitation, and accessories. Make organizational adjustments based on the complexity of the incident and requests additional personnel, supplies, services, and equipment as needed. Serve as a trouble-shooter and primary resource person on major program implementation issues involving guidance, regulations and policies affecting Treasury wide Mail Policy and DO shipping, receiving, and inventory programs.
Qualifications: You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for the GS-14: Specialized experience is fifty-two (52) weeks of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes planning, coordinating, implementing and overseeing an administrative support function. AND Experience as a project leader, team leader or program coordinator in executing the daily responsibilities of facilities and support service programs. Examples: Administrative support function examples could include: project and change management, contract management, budgeting, and personnel management. Facilities and support service program examples could include: Inventory Management, Mail Management, Property Management, fleet management and/or labor, moving and warehouse services. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
