Job Summary: You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT (CODE 900) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Salary Range: GS-11: $85,612 - 110,869 GS-12: $95,044 - 127,854

Major Duties:

  • You will develop creative solutions to meet a facility/equipment need or generate the facilities/equipment capabilities to support waterfront work.
  • You will plan, administer, coordinate, and manage a wide-range of plant equipment improvement projects for both nuclear and nonnuclear facilities including repair, new construction, renovation, and demolition.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring project development, execution, and quality in both nuclear and non-nuclear facilities plant equipment projects.
  • You will conduct site visits to verify the validity and scope of plant equipment/facility requests.
  • You will serve as a member of Technical Evaluation Boards to provide input on technical qualifications of contractors proposed to perform shipyard projects.
  • You will serve as a member of the Source Selection Board to advise the project execution agent on the best value for the shipyard for performing work and selecting the best contractors for the work.

Qualifications: GS-12: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer developing and implementing project plans related to the design, testing, and certification of industrial plant equipment found in production buildings or waterfront structures. GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer identifying technical issues and recommending improvements to project plans related to the design, test, or evaluation of facility or equipment modifications on production buildings or waterfront structures.
