This leadership role is located in Mojave, CA.
The Test Directorate of Ground Test Engineering is seeking to hire an Aircraft Maintenance Manager 1. This position will oversee the maintenance, servicing, repair and overhauling of multiple aircraft and aircraft systems associated with several programs based at Mojave, Ca and Fox Air Field in the Antelope Valley.
The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that assigned aircraft are maintained and serviced in accordance with company policy and associated aircraft tech orders and maintenance schedules. Day to day responsibilities include direct supervision of the staff, managing assignments, coordinating cost and schedule with Program leadership and budgets, and securing parts and materials as necessary.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Manage/ Monitor day to day assignments and activities of nonexempt and entry level exempt employees to ensure technical compliance
Ensure all work is done to company and FAA standards and safety is a top priority
Support planning, scheduling, and budget estimating to meet program expectations
Work with functional and program leadership to ensure proper staffing and performance goals
Maintain hangars and facilities per company, safety, and ESH&M standards
The work will require on-site support on a constantly rotating shift schedule that can include nights & weekends, variance of shifts, & possibly working 3/10s.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related professional/military experience OR Master’s degree and 3 years of related professional/military experience OR High School Diploma and 9 years of professional/military experience.
Must have a current A&P License required
Must have 1 year of experience with aircraft maintenance/operations
Must be willing to work a constantly rotating shift schedule that can include nights & weekends, variance of shifts, & possibly working 3/10s.
Must have U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Previous management/ supervision experience
Knowledge of Flight Test standards for quality, environmental, and safety policies
Experience with working multiple aircraft and programs simultaneously
Current Inspection Authorization (IA) certification
