Your future role within QRT
You will join the Trading Infrastructure team as a C++ Engineer, where you will design and optimise performance-critical systems for our trading infrastructure. This role focuses on developing software that interacts closely with hardware components, with an emphasis on latency reduction, throughput optimisation, and real-time processing. You will work closely with other engineers across the infrastructure stack to develop scalable and efficient systems that meet the demands of high-performance trading.
- Design and implement low-latency components and optimise systems on Linux platforms
- Build and maintain high-performance distributed systems that support trading infrastructure
- Develop multithreaded applications using C++ and STL/Boost libraries
- Contribute to hardware-aware optimisation, including kernel tuning and NIC/FPGA offloading
- Improve performance of data ingestion, tick replay, and simulation frameworks
Your present skillset
- Expert-level proficiency in C++/C development on Linux
- Strong experience with STL, Boost, and multithreaded/distributed systems
- Deep understanding of Linux kernel internals and low-level optimisation techniques
- Experience with FPGA, network card offloading, and hardware acceleration techniques is a strong plus
- Proficient with the Linux/GCC toolchain and Red Hat-based systems
- Familiarity with distributed network architectures and real-time system constraints
- Experience working in a high-performance environment with continuous deployment processes is beneficial
