Job Summary: This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major Duties:
- You will provide engineering technical assistance and metrology quality assurance support to ensure that the SSP Calibration Program meets all technical and quality assurance requirements.
- You will provide government technical review and engineering technical analysis, evaluation, and assessment of contractor operations.
- You will provide reviews and coordinates approval of technical documentation submitted by the SWFPAC Navy Calibration Laboratory (NCL) contractor.
- You will develop alternative approaches for calibration support for new or unique Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
- You will develop corrective action responses for areas outside the technical expertise or scope of responsibilities of the SWFPAC NCL contractor.
- You will develop/administer metrology quality verification and process monitoring/surveillance inspections within SWFPAC NCL to ensure SSP product quality objectives and contractual responsibilities for quality are in compliance.
- You will coordinate internal and external audits and inspections of the SWFPAC NCL (i.e., SSP Inter-Laboratory Comparison Program (ILCP), Facility Technical Proficiency Evaluation, Nuclear Technical Proficiency Inspections).
Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assessing technical engineering configuration and design on various calibration laboratory measurement systems and test equipment to develop solutions and procedures to resolve complex interrelated problems and issues in support of Metrology and Calibration Program, and Test and Measurement Systems (TAMS) requirement.
