Working Families Power engages in program incubation, coalition building, organizing, leadership development, advocacy, and public education on policies that advance economic fairness, racial justice, gender equity, climate sustainability, and a democracy which is responsive to the needs of the many—not the wealthy and powerful few. Our vision is a society rooted in equality, dignity, solidarity, and compassion.
While the majority of our time as an organization is spent on engaging the working class, we also believe that people with access to wealth are an important constituency to organize into our coalition. This role will support the cadre donor project, a long-term project incubated by Working Families Power to develop wealthy people into organizers who understand how change actually happens, who organize other wealthy people and who fund movement work with an orientation to learning and experimentation. This project aims to build a center of gravity in the money landscape that shifts resources to strategic power-building and the left winning counter-hegemony.
This fellowship role is temporary and full-time, with benefits. The fellowship duration is 9 months. This is not a Working Families Party role. This project is transitioning to a fiscally sponsored project of Working Families Power and fellows will be employed by The Cadre Project.
