Job Summary: THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, Position Description Number D2434000 and is part of the KS 190 Air Refueling Wing, National Guard.

Major Duties:

  • As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, GS-0346-13, you will manage complex base logistics functions to include Operations Compliance, Cargo Movement, Air Transportation, Logistics Plans, Vehicle Maintenance and Management, Ground Transportation, Fuels Management and Material Management. Directs and coordinates logistics activities including the authorized procurement and provisioning of supplies and services and management of materials and equipment. Exercise independent judgment involving major decisions and actions that have a direct and substantial effect on the organizations and programs managed. Manage all Wing and Geographically Separated Units deployment/redeployment processing, ensuring the deployment readiness of the members. Oversee the development and maintenance of the wing Readiness Reporting Program. Manage and briefs Senior Leadership on the Wings' War Reserve Materials, Support Agreement, and Base Support Plan Program development and sustainment. Conducts all phases of personal property management, supply management, and logistics support for all supported agencies within the Wing and any supported Geographically Separated Units. Manages the base Logistics Squadron Commanders Inspection Program which includes the Squadron Self-Inspection Program and provides The Adjutant General with an Annual Statement of Assurance via the Managers Internal Control Program (MICP) ensuring the health of all base inspection logistics programs maintain compliance. Other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements. Telework: ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK

Qualifications: Military Grades: O4- O5 Desired AFSC: 021R3 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have the experience and training that demonstrates you have the the ability to: Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; Plan and organize work; and Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have the specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in senior base level strategic planning, setting base policy, and developing installation guidelines that have application across organizational lines within the wing and any Geographically Separated Units, the ability to ensure a program that fosters adequate health, welfare, morale, training, and mission readiness of assigned personnel, while meeting operational demands in an agile combat support environment and affects the plans, goals, and effectiveness of readiness missions and programs throughout the Wing with Logistics Readiness Squadron. This is a Defense Acquisition Workforce (AWF) position. The employee must meet the DoDI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the Career Category/Functional Area and the Career Level Certification assigned on the sequenced position Conditions of Employment data fields in the header of the PD/PRD. - Foundational Career Level Certification or Contracting Professional Certification must be met within 3 years. - Practitioner Career Level Certification must be met within 5 years. - Advanced Career Level Certification must be met within 4 years.
