Job Description Summary
This is a 10-month, 2 year position in the athletic department at Saint Leo University. This individual will assist the Assistant Athletic Director of Internal Operations with facility management, game day and special events.Job Description
Duties and Tasks:
- Assist with facility set up for all home competitions, including special events.
- Assist in managing schedules for game operations student workers
- Learn specialized game operations roles such as scorekeeping, scoreboard, shot clock etc.
- Conducts athletic facility walk through and evaluation on regular basis for maintenance, safety and upkeep
- Researches and implements ideas to enhance branding, equipment, technology and environment at all facilities.
- Assist with golf cart maintenance and management
- Work with head coaches for game day planning and communication
- Manage storage areas in various facilities to maintain cleanliness
- Enter Facilities work orders for repairs, cleaning, etc.
- Assist with deliveries from vendors
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university
- CPR/AED/First Aid certified or course completion within two months of employment
Skills:
- Leadership skills
- Highly organized and attention to details
- Valid driver’s license
Abilities:
- To be certified to drive university vehicles and assist with the functions of the athletic department motor pool including vans and golf carts.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds
