Glimpse of the Job

This postdoctoral position will support research on the design and construction of novel mechanochemical reactors and oversee the day-to-day operations of the NSF CMCC Mechanochemistry Innovation Hub, including collaboration with CMCC researchers and external partners. They will also aid in writing manuscripts, developing research goals, and student mentoring.

Opportunities to Contribute:

  • Design and construct novel mechanochemical reactors.

  • Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the NSF CMCC's Mechanochemistry Innovation hub by working with CMCC researchers and external partners.

  • Write manuscripts, develop research goals, and mentor student.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate PhD.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods to perform laboratory duties.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.

A well-qualified candidate may also possess:

  • PhD in Chemistry

  • Graduate student research work experience

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

  • Contributes to team effort by working effectively with individuals of different backgrounds.

  • May require working evenings and/or weekend hours.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate's education and experience.

Special Note: Due to this position’s salary having all or a portion of it being funded by grants or contracts, the continuing salary and overall employment is contingent upon the availability of these funds in the future.
