Advanced Practice Provider (PA)

Cardiothoracic Surgery
Join our renowned Cardiothoracic Surgery team at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, a leading 345-bed tertiary care center near Boston!
About the Role:
As an Advanced Practice Provider (PA), you'll play a vital role in managing post-operative Cardiothoracic Surgery patients in the ICU, PCU, and Telemetry units.
Responsibilities include:
H&Ps, daily notes, discharge summaries
Inpatient & ER consults/admissions
Post-operative care planning & follow-up
Rotating coverage: Telemetry, PCU, OR, on-call (including nights/weekends)
24/7 in-house APP coverage & OR first assist call (rotating schedule)
Experience:
Surgical first assist experience (Cardiac & Thoracic)
Endoscopic Vein & Open Radial Artery Harvest skills
Familiarity with Robotic Thoracic Surgery
Strong post-operative management skills (Cardiac & Thoracic)
Proficiency in chest tube, central/arterial line placement/removal
Removal of temporary pacing wires, Swan-Ganz, IABP, sutures and staples
ICU management post-op (ventilators, inotropes, vasoactive meds, circulatory support)
Qualifications:
Accredited PA program graduate
Minimum 2 years Cardiothoracic Surgery experience
MA State License (or eligible)
Current BCLS/ACLS certification
Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, collaborative environment
Excellent communication, teamwork, and emotional intelligence
