Job Title: Discover - Student Worker Lead (NFWS)
Position Summary/Purpose: The purpose of the Discover - Student Worker position is to support the growth, efforts, and goals of the Discover team.
Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/ Essential Functions:
- Onboards, trains, and serves as point of contact for student workers supporting Discover GCU.
- Reports and when possible, acts to resolve complaints, concerns, escalations, etc., promptly reporting accidents, damages, etc. to the necessary parties.
- Ensures through observation and involvement, that student workers are working to their full potential and delivering excellent customer service to Discover GCU visitors to ensure a productive and pleasant visit that assists prospects with their college decision.
- Ensures student worker conduct, uniforms and personal hygiene requirements are established, understood, and enforced.
- Collaborates with other Discover GCU team members and understands the functions of each, demonstrating an ability to exercise oversight and good judgment in decision-making when escalations or situations requiring attention arise. Must be available to work evenings and weekends, which includes consistent weekend and holiday coverage. Must be able to work extended hours, as needed, for Discover GCU.
- Must be punctual and committed to attendance schedule.
- Develops and shares ideas for improving the Discover GCU visitor experience.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate in a professional manner with all stakeholders, including Discover GCU visitors, their parents, employees, other departments, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for Student Worker oversight.
Experience/ Education:
Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor’s program or master’s program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
