About the Department

The County of Nevada, Office of Emergency Services is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Administrative Analyst II. This Analyst is a key contributor to the success of our organizational development through process improvement, training and collaborative work groups. The Administrative Analyst II will be responsible for managing grant-funded project timelines and deliverables and responding to funder and internal deadlines related to project reporting. This includes working with OES staff to draft appropriate reports and other materials using funder-designated templates, timelines, and submission processes. Post-submission, this position will ensure that all appropriate materials are filed according to the document retention policies associated with the funder and with county policy, including preparation of fiscal year-end materials for grant audits. This position will support coordination and project management activities for grant-funded projects including those associated with shaded fuel break implementation, roadside vegetation abatement, defensible space, home hardening, and public education.
In addition to grant and project support, this position will support management of contracts including but not limited to reviewing invoicing/reporting, collaboration with contractors, conducting outreach/education, supporting implementation of process improvements, and ensuring quality.

Other Qualifications
Level I:
Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, economics or a related field from an accredited college or university, and one year of experience in administrative, budget or personnel analysis, preferably in a public agency.
Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis to a maximum of two years.
Level II: (in addition to the above)
Two years of experience at a level equivalent to Nevada County's classification of Administrative Analyst I.
