ADOPTION ARCHIVE PROJECT COORDINATOR - PART TIME in our Lansing offices
The Adoption Archive Project's (AAP) goal is to create a sustainable plan for managing historic agency records, while improving customer service and organizational efficiency. The Adoption Archive Project Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the implementation of grant activities. They will work in close collaboration with the Executive Director, regional Program Managers, Quality Specialist and the Post-Adoption Coordinator to ensure grant outcomes are achieved.
This is a grant-funded, term limited position, ending June 1, 2027. Hours per week may vary from 16-31 based on project needs.

Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the process of retrieving files from off-site storage, sorting, cataloging and purging or returning files to MDHHS per policy.
- Create and implement a process for scanning and digitizing files that remain in LAS's possession.
- Develop procedures and staff training tools in coordination with the Quality Specialist.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- No degree requirement, bachelors preferred
- Adoption experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Physical Demands:
- Primarily office-based work, occasional travel to meetings or conferences.
- Lifting files and boxes, weighing up to 50 pounds
Work Environment:
- Office setting in Lansing, Michigan.
- Occasional flexibility to work remotely.
