Corporate Accounting Manager
SUMMARY
Highly technical role responsible for accurate analyses of multi-performance obligation agreements with mortgage lenders and other parties in the US in accordance with IFRS. Lead interface with both Internal and External Auditors and management of the Company’s financial internal control matrix. Supervise one or more accountants responsible for AP and Cash Application process. Ensure timely preparation and review of all required regulatory filings. Assists and monitors overall progress of monthly close process and serves as a member of the Financial Leadership Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs detail analyses on new customer contracts and modifications for accounting implications in accordance with IFRS.
Assigns and audits the work of supporting accounting staff.
Ensures that cash application activities are completed by assigned staff in the US and India timely, completely and accurately.
Ensures AP data entry by assigned staff in the US and India is completed timely, completely and accurately.
Completes Personal Property Tax Returns for applicable physical locations.
Completes or manages completion of required Business Unit quarterly Home Office required Checklists and Packages.
Responsible for the development of policies, systems, special financial studies, etc. of major importance. Duties require broad conceptual judgment, initiative, and ability to deal with complex accounting issues
Works with confidential data, which if disclosed, might have significant internal effect or minor external effect
Develops accounting organizational strategies by contributing accounting and financial information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction, establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives
Establishes accounting operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change
Provides financial projections as may be required from time-to-time related to cash or as part of the overall budget and forecasting process managed by FP&A Team.
Accomplishes department and organization mission and strategic goals
Performs other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
Requires 3+ years experience in performing Revenue Recognition Analysis
Requires 5+ years of accounting management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to supervise and mentor a team of accountants
Certified or Chartered Public Accountant (CPA) certification
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in accounting or related financial discipline
Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish team goals
Thorough knowledge of revenue and general accounting plus the application of general accounting theory
Must be proficient in Office 365 software programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge in forecasting, financial planning, and financial diagnosis
Skill in strategic planning
Ability to lead and perform under pressure
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, operating managers and employees
