About the Role
As an Intake Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for families transitioning from our waitlist into ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) services. Your role is crucial in helping families begin their journey with Acorn Health. You’ll coordinate and schedule initial assessments, ensure insurance and scheduling details are accurate, and help move families into care with speed, compassion, and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

  • Contact families to confirm intake details and schedule assessment appointments.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Directors, Regional Directors of Clinical Access, and the Admissions team to align schedules and ensure all logistics are in place.
  • Maximize scheduling opportunities and reduce delays, ensuring quick access to care.
  • Communicate Acorn Health’s onboarding process and ABA services clearly and empathetically to families.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in our systems, updating notes, tasks, and labels as needed.
  • Identify and escalate any barriers preventing families from accessing care.
  • Support ongoing coordination and communication across clinical and operations teams.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role (call center, customer service, or similar)

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in healthcare, psychology, social work, or a related field
  • Experience in client onboarding, scheduling, or case coordination in a healthcare or behavioral health setting
  • Knowledge of ABA services or experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
