SUMMARY:
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare accurate and timely financial reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consolidates, prepares and distributes Agency Financial Statements.
- Prepares monthly reconciliation analysis of client profitability to the general ledger and researches any discrepancies.
- Assists with revising quarterly and annual budgets.
- Prepares and inputs general journal entries.
- Oversees monthly bank reconciliation, fixed asset reports and intercompany balance analysis and elimination entries.
- Prepares various monthly management reports and analysis.
- Prepares account analysis for year-end audit.
- Works with external auditors and accountants.
- Prepares the utilization plans by client.
- Assists with training for new business managers and team members.
- Helps to facilitate client billing on a monthly basis.
- Works on special projects as assigned by the Controller.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four-year college or university required.
- At least five years of accounting work experience required.
COMMUNICATION ABILITY:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, senior management, clients, customers and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to work autonomously and carry out tasks independently with accuracy and minimal supervision.
