Job Description:
This Role…
As the Membership Marketing Manager you will report to our Director B2C Marketing and support the broader Marketing team. The ideal candidate has demonstrated leadership and product marketing capabilities to develop, grow, and enhance our Membership program. This individual will have experience with membership or subscriptions, including marketing. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced culture, is innovative, forward-thinking, and data and insight driven.
Specifically, the key initiatives you will manager in this role include…
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing membership acquisition and retention campaigns that continue to grow membership.
Developing a comprehensive Membership marketing strategy that includes product value propositions and promotional plans to grow our membership across key audiences and retain our base members.
Developing creative and innovative campaigns that drive action, engagement, and advocacy among our key audiences. ATD has an in-house team of graphic designers to bring creative requests to life.
Analyzing member behavior and performance trends to optimize and enhance marketing programs.
Managing a variety of simultaneous campaigns from ideation to execution across paid, owned and earned channels.
Coordinating marketing needs for ATD chapters.
Using analytics to identify key areas of growth and optimize cost per acquisition.
Adept marketing to specific segments and tracking behavior, and adjusting marketing to be audience segement-specific.
Demonstrating excellent project management skills, including external vendor management.
Is highly accountable for their work.
Managing a Membership Marketing Specialist, and working within a Marketing team of other Product Managers, and business line owners to execute on an over-arching organizational strategy.
About You…
At least 5-7 years’ experience.
Experience growing and retaining membership in a B2B or B2C organization.
Experience with customer centric audience marketing and analyzing data related to specific customer segments.
Adept at setting up and executing multi-faceted campaigns across Google Ad Words, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Portfolio. Experience executing successful influencer strategies is a plus
Subscription and direct mail experience a plus
Proven organizational, project management, leadership, and communication skills required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
A will to win, grow and succeed
An entrepreneurial spirit and team player
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or related field, highly preferred

Our Work Environment…
The Association for Talent Development is a hybrid organization headquartered in Alexandria, VA.
You will be expected to be in the office 4 days a week for your first quarter, with the potential for more hybrid-time after this period.
Our recently remodeled office is in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, right on King Street, just a block away from the Metro and the Historical District and Old Town Waterfront along the Potomac River.
