Princess Polly USA Inc is seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Global Controller to lead all accounting operations across Princess Polly’s international business — including e-commerce and retail store networks. Reporting to the CFO, you will play a critical role in driving financial accuracy, consistency, and compliance. You’ll oversee key processes across all entities — US, AU, and international — and manage a talented accounting team responsible for inventory, payroll, SOX compliance, global financial close and statutory reporting. This is a leadership position where you’ll establish robust financial controls, support the company’s long-term strategy, and help scale the business globally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all global accounting operations, including US, AU, and international entities, retail store locations, and inventory accounting
Develop and implement strong internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and local accounting standards
Lead the global financial close process, including consolidations and intercompany eliminations
Supervise and mentor the accounting team (GL, AP, Inventory, Payroll), fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture
Manage retail store accounting processes, including inventory costing, shrinkage, fixed assets, and POS integration
Oversee payroll accounting processes and partner with HR to ensure accurate and compliant payroll across all entities
Prepare accurate financial statements and support the audit process
Partner with FP&A, tax, legal, and operations to support business decisions and accurate financial reporting
Implement and optimize systems and processes to scale with company growth
Support global treasury, cash management, and banking relationships
Assist with special projects as they arise — M&A, process improvements, new initiatives
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, THIS IS WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE AS OUR GLOBAL FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Within the first 3–6 months, you will have built strong relationships with all key stakeholders and established trust as a strategic financial leader.
Internal controls across all global entities — including retail stores — will be enhanced and standardized, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
The close process will be streamlined to consistently deliver accurate financials on schedule.
Inventory, payroll, and store accounting processes will be reviewed and optimized for scalability and compliance.
You will successfully mentor and grow the accounting team, cultivating a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Business leaders will view you as a valued partner in guiding financial decisions that support long-term, profitable growth.
IF YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH THE ABOVE, YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES. REALISTICALLY THOUGH, YOU WILL HAVE A
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required
8+ years progressive accounting experience with global/multi-entity operations
Proven leadership as a Controller or similar senior accounting role
Strong expertise with US GAAP and international accounting standards
Experience in retail and/or e-commerce accounting, including retail store operations, inventory accounting, and payroll
Experience with ERP systems and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage diverse teams across time zones
Strong process improvement mindset and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
