Job Summary: About the position: This is a Regular Part-Time category position located at the Resource Management Supply Warehouse, 423d Force Support Squadron, RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom. This position offers 32 guaranteed hours per week, but the incumbent may be required to work up to 40 hours per week, as needed.The incumbent must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
Major Duties:
- 1. Receives incoming shipments from off-loading areas and checks receiving vouchers to ensure quality and quantity of items received. 2. Selects storage locations and stores, stacks, and palletizes items considering their use, size, shape, quantity, and possibility of contamination to or from other items. 3. Selects items for shipment or issue. Checks condition of shipping containers and ensures that items are properly loaded or packed. Obtains authorized signature on issue documents and keeps necessary copy of requisition to account for issues. 4. Assists in end-of-month inventories of stock by counting items in storage areas. 5. May be required to operate a motor vehicle to transport equipment and supplies to and from the warehouse. May be required to operate a forklift after completing provided training. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience (MUST be supported in your resume): Must have experience performing the following duties: Compiling data in Excel spreadsheets to maintain inventory stock levels; AND applying critical thinking skills to multi-task and prioritize daily tasks; AND organizing daily paperwork on a computer-based filing system.
