The Team/Shift Lead coordinates MLT's and MLS' in a wide range of duties that includes producing timely lab results, performing and documenting quality control, proper utilization of supplies and assuring compliance with state, OSHA, FMC, CAP and other agency guidelines. Delegates testing to responsibilities, assures competency of all testing personnel, accepts responsibility for accuracy of results and reviews test results. Performs the duties of a technologist as needed.
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
- Experience
A minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job functions of a leadership role.
- Licensure/Certification
- Registered Medical Technologist, ASCP or equivalent
