Job Description:
The Ops Research & Systems Analyst applies advanced analytical and statistical techniques to understand and help solve complex problems and facilitate leadership with decision-making, driving improvements and efficiencies. The Ops Research & Systems Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to understand the client’s mission objectives and challenges, identify the key variables, constraints, and objectives and translate them into an analytical model. The primary duties involve understanding stakeholder missions and priorities, identifying potential problems, gathering pertinent information, and then using a variety of analytical methods to come up with solutions. The job requires strong analytical skills as well as the ability to think critically.
Key Daily Functions:
- Assist decision makers in solving complex problems by producing the analysis and logical reasoning necessary to inform and underpin critical decisions
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret data
- Develop and implement mathematical models to solve operational problems
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Works to understand and analyze relevant data to improve business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform research, analysis, design, documentation, and integration related to OUSDI and PREM systems capabilities and operational objectives
- Assist in defining research scope and objectives to optimize decision making and policy formulation
- Use modeling and research methods to facilitate the development of innovative and cost-effective strategies, products, and software technologies
- Collect and analyze data to develop decision support for complex information services or products
- Perform risk assessments and recommend process improvement techniques related to research objectives
- Participate in presentations, training, and briefings as requested
- Complete documentation related to research tasks and scope
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in national security supporting defense
- Demonstrated experience with workflow and process optimization
- Experience utilizing data visualization tools
- Prior experience with data processing and analysis
- Experience creating and presenting findings to executive leaders
- Experience leading technical exchange discussions
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Familiarity working within an agile environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI required
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
