The hourly pay range for this position is $22.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience, certifications, licensure, education, and location.

We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience, and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood, and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.
Requirements:
- Registered Veterinary Technician, license must be current
- 2+ years of veterinary experience
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
- Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories
- TPR
- Assisting doctor and other technical staff with restraint
- Blood draws (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)
- Placing IV catheters
- Digital radiology including positioning.
- Dentistry (digital x-rays, scaling, polishing)
- Experience with dental extractions
- Anesthesia (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique)
- Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology; HM5; Vetscan; Sedivue
- Excellent client communication/education
Qualifications
Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
A degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
