The Assistant Account Manager will work directly alongside the Account Manager to support a large national chain account. This role will assist in the daily management of customer relationships, order processing, and job execution from concept to completion. A core function of this position is to handle purchasing duties, ensuring timely and accurate procurement of equipment and materials needed for assigned jobs.
Responsibilities:- Support the Account Manager in managing and maintaining daily account activity.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams including project management, design, and operations to ensure successful project execution.
- Assist in the preparation and tracking of estimates, quotes, and orders using platforms such as AutoQuotes.
- Manage purchasing for assigned jobs — creating purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving vendor issues.
- Communicate regularly with vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding project updates and purchasing status.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the client’s concept, equipment preferences, and purchasing standards.
- Estimate jobs based on KEC drawings
- Ensure all order-related documentation is accurate, organized, and up to date.
- Maintain a positive, solutions-driven attitude in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of equipment
- Develop and maintain knowledge of customer’s concept, equipment, operations, and decision maker’s
- Some travel required
Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities:
- 3 years of experience in the foodservice equipment industry or related field.
- Strong purchasing or procurement experience preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoQuotes strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and understand kitchen equipment drawings.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude with the ability to handle pressure and shifting priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Knowledge of Bluebeam a plus.
Work Location: Paterson, NJ / Remote - commutable to Paterson, NJ preferred
Compensation: $68-80K + Discretionary Bonus
