Summary:

The Manager of Sales manages their assigned sales territory. In addition to leading ASM they will lead the identification, development, and closure of business opportunities in assigned territory in an effort to meet growth targets. This includes working with Product Management in directing proposal development process and identifying pursue/no pursue decisions and business strategy.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Sales Team Management: develop annual Area Sales Manager bookings plans, including mid-year updates as required. Participate in semi-annual sales meeting. Establish, evaluate, and update monthly Intermediary goals. Develop, direct, and evaluate the Field Application Engineer (FAE) design-in activity and report performance. FAE management includes developing and evaluating objectives and career development.
  • Intermediary Management: Identify requirements for Intermediaries (Advisors & Resellers). Hire, evaluate performance, terminate, and replace Intermediaries as needed. Negotiate and manage Advisors commissions. Responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating, and recommending adjustments for Intermediaries agreements.
  • Partner with the product line and Executive Director Sales and Field Sales Team in creating and executing SBC pursuit plan.
  • Travel within assigned region. Biannual travel for sales meetings is required. Represent Company leadership at special community functions.
  • Sales Planning and Forecasting: Along with Line of Business Directors, Product Line Managers, and Director of Sales and other stakeholders, develop annual bookings and design-in plans and objectives. Track performance to plan and provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and special reports as required. Submit daily Major Opportunity report updates using SFDC. Develop and submit monthly bookings Guidance View and Short-Term Forecast.
  • Manage and develop sales and support personnel.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline.
  • 6) years of experience in people management.
  • Bachelors degree required.
    (9) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.
    (3) years of experience may be considered w/ a Masters Degree.
  • Applicable experience in lieu of a Degree may be considered.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
  • Pay Range: $146,900 - $187,200 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
