Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Leader to drive market development in competitive and newly regulated markets for charitable gaming. This role will work closely with both the direct sales team and affiliated sales associates to identify growth opportunities and foster strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate is a skilled closer with a deep understanding of the charitable gaming landscape and adjacent industries, such as route VLT, amusement, and skill game companies.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Development:
- Collaborate with the direct sales team and affiliated sales associates to strategize and execute market development initiatives in competitive and newly regulated markets.
- Identify and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform business strategies.
2. Sales Strategy and Closing:
- Act as a "closer," leveraging strong negotiation skills and industry knowledge to secure partnerships and contracts.
- Develop tailored sales strategies that resonate with potential clients and stakeholders in the charitable gaming sector.
3. Industry Insights:
- Stay informed about external influences from adjacent industries that impact charitable gaming, including VLTs, amusement, and skill game companies.
- Provide insights and recommendations on how charitable gaming strategies can deliver long-term benefits for charitable customers.
4. Leadership and Strategy Development:
- Lead initiatives aimed at educating stakeholders on the dynamics of charitable gaming and its advantages.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align business development efforts with overall company goals and objectives.
5. Travel Requirements:
- Travel 65-75% of the time to meet clients, attend industry events, and explore new market opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the gaming or charitable sectors.
- Proven track record of closing deals and driving revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of the charitable gaming landscape and adjacent industries.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively for business development activities.
