Position Summary
The Lead Architect drives the overall architecture vision and ensures alignment across systems and platforms. They leads the
development of architectural alignment with technology engineering and operations design by leveraging and applying advances in
automation, intelligent design, and data-driven decision-making.
Essential Functions
• Defines, implements, and maintains enterprise architecture strategy, blueprint and principles across data and analytics, and
AI platforms
• Architects and designs data analytics, AI solutions
• Designs enterprise data lake, data warehouse, AI platforms
• Guides integration efforts with core systems like Lawson, Epic, Peoplesoft, Payor files, etc
• Partners with governance and engineering teams to ensure scalability and compliance (HIPAA, GDPR)
• Provides technical direction for new data solutions and platform enhancements (DataBricks, Azure)
• Experienced thought leader in data analytics AI, digital health, cloud, data, and AI technologies
• Develops and enforces industry standards, framework and best practices
• Leads architecture decisions on cloud-based, on-premise, and hybrid healthcare IT environment.
• Collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure data exchange compliance and security
• Works closely with executives, IT teams, clinicians, and business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver effective
solutions.
• Fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement healthcare IT
• Creates scalable, secure, and compliant IT architecture that support clinical, operational, and administrative healthcare
functions.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other
federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
Other Related Functions
• In depth and up-to-date knowledge of the evolving environment of healthcare.
• Possesses fundamental knowledge of tools and methods for teaching best practices and performance improvement.
Education/Training
• Bachelor’s degree required.
Licensure/Certification
• ITIL V3/V4 required.
Experience
• Ten (10) years of IT and business/industry work experience including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle
management and infrastructure planning and operations.
• Three (3) years of leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior
level management and key stakeholders.
