Compensation Range (Hourly, non Exempt): $38-40K
Candidates can reside in one of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, ID, IN, KY, LA, MI, MO, MS, NC, NV, OH, OK, SC, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, and WI
Location: Remote
Schedule is subject to change:
Monday/Wednesday: 11am - 9pm Est
Tuesday/Thursday: 10am - 7pm Est
Friday: 10am - 6pm Est
Saturday: May rotate working a Saturday instead of Friday once a month or as
needed
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
It is the role of the Financial Planner to meet with potential applicants. Financial Planners educate the applicant on his/her Title IV eligibility and provide applicants with the necessary tools to make an informed decision all while providing exceptional customer service. Financial Planners will counsel students regarding financial aid eligibility, application procedures, aid programs, costs, indebtedness, money management, and financial planning individualizes information to the particular needs and situation of the student.
Due to the nature of this role, attention to detail, analytical ability, and willingness to perform complex tasks/multitask are essential. A financial planner must maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide financial aid assistance to prospective and enrolled students.
Support the Director of Financial Planning and Financial Counselor Manager in maintaining Financial Aid Programs and compliance.
Assist Veterans in the completion of the VA Benefits Application
Ensure compliance and confidentiality with all federal, state, and internal policies and procedures
Provide clerical support to both the Director of Financial Planning and Financial Counselor Manager.
Counsel perspective students on financial aid eligibility and payment options
Work closely with other Financial Planners and staff all working toward departmental goals.
Answer questions, inquiries or requests from students and parents in person or in writing regarding financial aid programs and eligibility.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Following an initial 60-day training period, you will receive specialized training to manage simultaneous calls with students, which is a primary responsibility of this role. By the 90-day mark, you are expected to achieve proficiency in handling dual calls, ensuring effective communication and support for our students. Mastery of this skill is crucial for successful performance in this position.
