As a Senior Buyer you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, optimizing procurement strategies, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and products. Insight on your impact:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account and contact information within the company ERP system, ensuring all relevant details are consistently updated.
- Drive account growth by increasing revenue, gross profit, and expanding key contact relationships.
- Manage and maintain comprehensive records of all goods ordered and received.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for materials, equipment, and services; conduct supplier interviews to assess product availability, pricing, and terms of sale.
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review purchase orders and supplier contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the supervisor or company leadership.
- Identify and act on speculative buying opportunities supported by confirmed customer demand, particularly for short-supply or end-of-life/last-time-buy (EOL/LTB) products.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to fulfill customer orders using product sourced through your established supply channels.
- Analyze excess Bill of Materials (BOM) for cost-saving opportunities and provide alternative sourcing to Sales to enhance gross profit.
- Evaluate product applications to better position offerings and maximize sales opportunities.
Your qualifications, your influence:
To be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in a Buyer or Purchasing role, with a solid understanding of procurement processes and vendor management.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships that drive value and reliability in the supply chain.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% as needed for business purposes.
